Girl Time

Poor little Chloe has been so depressed since Chief has been gone. It makes me sad. She goes outside and sits on the porch and cries, tears things up when we leave the house(nothing important thankfully), and just wanders around like she is looking for him. Depressing, I know. So, Avery and I have been giving her lots of special attention during the day. She likes to follow Avery around every where. Avery decided yesterday that she wanted Chloe to wear a shirt and necklace. Avery is obsessed with wearing my shoes and jewelry too. It cracks me up. She actually walks in heels pretty well. Not sure how much fun poor Chloe had, but Avery thought it was great!

this face cracks me up, haven't seen it before. I guess she was really excited
Chloe tolerated the crown for a while :)

She kept wanting to show Chloe what was in her purse and wanted Chloe to wear it too. Funny girl!

Sweet Friends

Avery and I had a nice lunch date with some of our great friends. Eden is one of Avery's best friends that she doesn't get to see as much since we moved to Denton. Their birthdays are only two weeks apart. They are always so excited to see eachother when they get to. They enjoyed sharing a gigantic choc. cookie together and made a huge mess. :) Leslie, Eden's mom is expecting a little boy in just a few weeks. I love her to pieces and I am so excited for her! Jamie and her daughter, Morgan, are some of our best friends too. Jamie is a great role model and friend to me. (Her husband is a preacher too) Morgan goes to school at Pepperdine and was home for spring break and we were glad we got to see her.
the girls love Morgan!

Little Gym star and a visit from aunt Laura

Avery is still loving the Little Gym. She gets so excited when it is time to go. She is doing so well and her teacher says she is going to remember her name and look for her at the Olympics one day. Ha! I doubt that, but it does come very naturally to her so maybe it will be something she likes when she grows up. It's fun for now anyway. Here are some pics from yesterday.
So excited running out the front door for little gym! She knows where she is going when we say it's time for gym and she gets SO excited. :)
Her fav, the high bars
She is the only kid in her class that can hang from the bar without support and swing her legs. So proud! (it helps that she weighs nothing:) )
Perfect landing! It scares me a little that she falls from that high but she is so proud of herself.
practicing her balance skills

My sis came to visit last weekend and we had a great weekend filled with pedicures, lots of shopping, going out to eat, and playing with Aves. It was so much fun! We love you Aunt Laura!!
My two favorite girls :)
Of course she came bearing gifts!
Avery had so much fun; Aunt Laura does every thing she wants ;)

Man's best friend

Most everyone knows, we had to put Chief down this week. It was a very sad day for me and Luke. He was a good dog and had been with us our whole marriage. He had cancer and had been doing well, but then started acting funny and not himself. It just wasn't a good idea with Avery in the house. We made the hard decision and took him in on Monday. Luke took him, I couldn't bring myself to go. We are sad, but have lots of happy memories with him. He made our lives more exciting, brought us lots more laughs, drained our checkbook:), and honestly got us ready to have a baby. We learned so much as a young couple by taking care of him.We will miss him so much!

We've taught her to share...

A bite for me,
A bite for you!

For those of you disgusted, don't worry, I gave her a new spoon. :)

Bible

Avery has been learning so many new words. I used to keep count and have the first ten in her baby book, but lately she has learned too many to keep count! The newest one she said today has to be one of the sweetest. We were watching a video clip together and there was a man reading from the Bible, she pointed to him and said Bible. I was so impressed! So I pulled hers off the shelf and she said "Bible!" So cute! Now she yells "Bible" and brings it to you to read, melts me. Love this girl!

Heavy Heart

Today I have a heavy heart for our dear friends, the Ross and Bizaillion families. A beautiful wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and Godly woman went to be with Jesus after a heroic battle against a horrific and sudden illness. Today a mother, who I love and admire so much, lost her little girl. One of my husband's best friends lost his sister. A loving husband who sat by his wife's bedside day in and day out and slept on the floor in a sleeping bag we brought him, is now a widower. A precious, precious little girl lost her mommy. That kind of pain I can only imagine. My heart literally hurts for the whole family. She will be missed by many, but we know the hope we have in heaven. Thanks be to God for the victory over death! Her dad wrote on his blog a few weeks ago when Jenny first became sick that no matter what happened, God is still deserving of our praise. That kind of faith overwhelms and inspires me. I know without a doubt that this family will still praise God; that's just who they are. Please continue to pray for them as they grieve. I don't even know the words to pray right now over them, but the spirit intercedes.
I held my baby a little longer tonight before bed, kissed her a few more times, read an extra story and hurt so badly for this family. I am thankful that Jenny is dancing in Heaven , completely restored and that the Ross and Bizaillion families know the God of all comfort and peace. How could anyone make it in this cruel world without that?
