Rocking my baby...

I admit that I am a neat freak when it comes to cleaning the house and keeping up with chores. This usually isn't such a bad thing, but ever since Avery came into our lives I don't seem to have much time for all my little cleaning obsessions. I've decided she is way too much fun and way too cute to ignore her while I clean the house for hours.  I'm reminded of this quote my mom used to have hanging up when my sister and I were little.

"Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow, because babies grow up I've learned to my sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep, I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep."                                             -author unknown

So the little bit of dust and the piles of laundry to do can wait because for now I'm watching Baby Einstein with Avery, helping her play with her toys, reading her books, kissing her cute little feet, singing the silly songs that make her laugh, staring at her while she sleeps, and rocking my baby cause babies don't keep. :)

Chris just asked me the other day why I don't stress about the house being as clean as I used to. I told him that the dust will always be there but Avery will only be this age once! As soon as I pulled your blog up I laughed at our unique blog names!!! Avery does love her carseat and she sleeps great in it. My only problem is that since it is still backwards I can't see my blind spot out of that window. I'm going to try putting her seat in the middle, if that doens't work I'm going to have to go back to the infant seat until she weighs enough for it to be forward facing. We need to get together soon. Lunch or dinner sounds great to me!!

Never have I heard a parent lament time spent with their child. 'Wish I had been able to play more with Luke & Josh. Those days are long gone when it was my choice to play with them. They aren't mine as they were then, and I dream of days gone by.
Lindsay, I love your blog. Feels like we are closer.
As long as homes are safe, dust can wait awhile.
