Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day with our little fam. Some say the holiday is cheesy and over-rated and maybe it is but I love any reason to celebrate something! Daddy was good to all his girls! We each woke up to roses at our bedside. Avery especially felt so special to get something from Daddy that Mommy got too.  I love seeing him with his girls. A Daddy/Daughter relationship is the sweetest! We went to dinner where mommy picked and dessert where Avery picked. Olive Garden and Yogurt Story! Luke also gave me a beautiful ring with the girl's birthstone that I love.

My cute little Valentines

She loved passing out the utensils and napkins. She LOVES to help the teacher:)

Presents waiting from Mommy and Daddy. The girls also really loved all the presents they got during the week from all their grandparents. No lack of love for these two! Thank you!

Four and a half years little

My first baby is four and a half years little!! I have to say little because it makes me feel better. Time sure is flying! She is very proud of this "half." Don't dare say she's only four, but four and a HALF. :) She is just the sweetest, smartest, most beautiful, and kindest little girl ever. Can you tell I'm her mom?! I am a very lucky mom! Avery is doing great in preschool two days a week. She knows how to write all the letters of the alphabet well from memory, she can spell several words, she loves to color, craft and make things. She has lots of sweet friends at school and church who she loves to play with. She often plays with boys which is so funny and sweet. She still loves all things princess, her American girl doll, playing mommy, dressing up, riding her bike and anything outdoors. She recently became more into clothes and really gets excited over a new dress or outfit. Wonder where that comes from? ;) She loves to go shopping with me and is a great shopping buddy. Girl can flat shop all day with no complaints. She still is a dainty little thing. A very petite 30lb with her clothes on. She is such a sensitive and gentle girl. She talks about the people we see on the road asking for money/food and asks what else we can do for them often. I think she'll grow up and do something that involves serving others. She is always concerned when someone is sad. She is an absolute dream with her little sis. She protects her and is always letting me know if Adalyn has something that might hurt her. She is a great helper. I rely on her a lot! She shares everything with her; whatever Adalyn wants Avery gives her even if it's Avery's favorite toy. Adalyn takes every toy away from her, pulls her dolls hair and Avery's hair and spills her food on a daily basis and Avery is so patient and sweet with her. She just takes it all. It makes me so proud to see her treat Adalyn so well. We tell her all the time that her sister is the most special and important friend of all and she seems to believe it too. I know one day they will fight but for now it's sweet. Her gentle heart is one of the many ways I see God in a tiny 4 year old body. Precious. Her fav foods are spaghetti, turkey, PB&J, almonds, raspberries, pink yogurt, pizza, chicken, rice, and almost anything with ketchup. She wants to be a mommy and a nurse when she grows up. Somedays she throws a jewelry maker in the list, who knows?! What ever she grows up to be, she will always be my baby and she will always make  me and her daddy so very proud. Happy half birthday sweet girl!

18 Months!!

My sweet Adalyn is a year and a half!! Can't believe it! She has changed so much in the past 6 months it's crazy. Where is the pause button? My babies are growing into little girls right before my eyes!

Addy Girl,
You are a big one and half year old now! My how you've changed and grown. Your smile is contagious and adorable. You love to wave at people and get their attention. You still are very much a mommy's girl but never cry when I leave you with others or in the nursery which is so nice. You adore your big sis and copy every little thing she does. Watching you two play together is one of my greatest joys! You call "sis" a hundred times a day.You share so well (for now) and love to play with other kids. You are quite the cuddle bug and will always climb in a lap when when it's offered. You love your paci and lovie when you're tired or sad. You hold your lovie and rub it on your nose when you're sleepy, so precious! I will have the memory of you doing this with me forever. You have stared to talk a lot more, new words this last month are: Dog, Cookie, mimi(milk) Ball, Here go (here you go) and More. Your first sentence was, "Here you go Mommy" You like to be read to and sang to. You really haven't showed any interest yet in movies or TV shows. You adore Minnie and Mickey and will stop to see them on TV for a few seconds. Anything related to Minnie Mouse are your favorite toys.Your favorite things to play with are baby dolls. You hold them, kiss them, love them, say "Awww" and feed them. Quite the little mommy you are! You still are a very laid back girl and really don't get too upset very often unless you want something that gets taken away. I can see a few tantrums in our future:) You are very cautious. You won't go far from me and you have yet to try the stairs alone but will just call for me when you want to go up or down. It's so funny and sweet! You clap for yourself and others often when you're happy and love to give high fives. You're a great sleeper still and sleep 13+ hours most every night. The only thing big on your tiny little body are your cheeks and they are adorable. You are a tiny, petite little thing and weighed 18.9 lb, and 31 inches long at your 18 month appointment. Putting you in the 5% for weight and 50% for length. Despite being tiny, you like to eat! Fav foods are: peanut butter or almond butter and honey sandwiches, blueberries, eggs, oatmeal, chicken, almonds, bananas, spaghetti and black beans and chips(if you see a bag of chips, it's over. Not even worth trying to tell you no;))
You are so adored, so loved and so treasured. Hope you will always know how much I love you! Love you to the moon and back!
Love, Momma
