We had a wonderful Christmas with Avery. Every thing was so much more fun with her there. She was spoiled to the max by her grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts and uncles. She loved it! Her shirt in the picture says it all, "Who needs Santa? I've got grandparents!" Thanks to every one we spent Christmas with for making it special and for loving Avery like Luke and I do. We will never forget her first Christmas!

We had so much fun the other night going to Southlake to see the lights and the big Christmas tree. We went with our friends, Jonathan and Leslie Storment, and their little girl who is just a little older than Avery. The babies loved all the lights. They both looked so cute all bundled up. I love Christmas time!!!

Avery tried rice cereal for the first time the other day. She wasn't too thrilled about it. She made the funniest face every time she took a bite. She pretty much spit most of it out and tried to suck on the spoon! Luke and I were cracking up the whole time. I guess she will get the hang of it soon and learn to like it.
She had her 4 month doctor's appt. this week and she looks great! She weighed in at 13lb 6 oz, and measured 25 1/2 inches. She is in the 55% for weight and 90% for length. I can't believe she is so long; I don't know where she gets it from. Not her mommy! I'm so thankful for my healthy little girl.

I couldn't believe it was time to sit in your pink chair again to take pictures. You are four months old now and changing so fast. I wish I could slow it down so I could savor every minute. I can't believe how time flies when you're having fun! You are laughing and talking all the time now. You still love reading books, and some new things you like are playing peek-a-boo, the animal sounds game, listening to mommy and daddy sing, being outside, Christmas lights, and the dogs. You are such a doll! It is so fun to see your little personality come out. I love your little gummy grin, how your eyes squint when you smile so big, the way you light up when I reach to pick you up, and the way you look around a crowded room for daddy when you hear his voice....I could go on for forever. Happy four months Avery! How sweet it is to be loved by you.

Avery got to meet Santa at the mall the other day. She went right to him and didn't even cry while I took a million pictures. I guess she knew she better be a good girl if she wants presents! I'm not sure what she told told Santa she wanted this year, but I think her grandparents have got her covered. :) I can't wait for her first Christmas!!

It's getting cold and I'm loving fires in the fireplace, starbucks pumpkin spice latte, winter boots, Christmas lights, Chief and Chloe's dog sweaters, but most of all I love my sweet Avery in a beanie. :) So cute! Of course, a little girl has to have a flower beanie for winter. Ha!

I have been doing a lot of shopping online this year to avoid the crowds with Avery. She really loves to sit at the computer with me while I shop. Luke took these pics one afternoon and I thought they were so funny. Avery is quite the little shopper. She had been making her list at toysRus. :)

We are getting excited about Christmas around our house! It is so much more fun this year having Avery around for Christmas. We decided to decorate this weekend and it was so much fun putting the tree up and hanging Avery's first ornaments. She loved looking at all the lights on the tree. She also had a fun time with a visit from aunt Laura this weekend!

You're three months old! Times sure does fly by. You have changed so much over the last month. You are growing so fast. You "talk" a lot more now and laugh when mommy and daddy do silly things. You love to read books, go for walks outside, bath time, play on your floor gym, and watch Baby Einstein. You are so much fun! I love you so much and I'm so glad God gave you to me.
Love, your momma
Almost a smile
