Paradise Pond

My friends and I, Leah and April, took our kiddos to Paradise Pond today for a play date. It was tons of fun! It is in a church and it is set up with all kinds of things for kids of all ages to do. It's only a dollar to get in and so worth it! Avery, Casen, and Avery Kate loved it. We finished the day off by going to the mall to eat lunch; it was a lot of fun. Avery did great and even skipped her morning nap. We will be going back to play soon I'm sure!

I put Avery down when we walked in thinking she would cling to me and I would have to ease her into it or at least seem a little timid. No way! She took off walking and never looked back to see if I had followed her. It made me tear up a little to see her act so big. She is growing up! Sniff. Sniff

She loved to ride the car down the ramp. I was afraid she was too little to do it, but she proved me wrong. She showed me all day that she is not so little anymore. :(

Labor Day

On Labor day we went over to our friends house, the Jacksons, and grilled out and let the kids play. The Jordans, and our friends Tiffany and Cassandra joined us too. Avery loves to play with her friends, Avery Kate and Casen. They are so cute together. She tried her best to keep up with them and follow them around. These families are in our small group at Venture and we just love them; good times with good friends! Hope every one had a great holiday.

Just Pics

We don't have much going on here so I thought I post a few pics of the last few weeks so the grandparents don't get too antsy. :) We do have some new news...Avery is WALKING!! I will post some pics of that later and attempt to post a video, but don't get your hopes up. It's the cutest thing ever to see her walking around the house. She is still a little unsteady and falls easily. I can't believe she is growing up so fast!

Road Trip

We took a road trip to Austin to see family. Luke had a speaking engagement as well with my dad's football team. We started the trip off well by going to the Anderson High School football game on Friday night. I love Texas high school football!!! It was a lot of fun and they won! It was an exciting game.

The next day we went to the Oasis to eat and celebrate Luke's birthday with all the family. It was good food with great company. I managed to not take that many pics for some reason.

Then, Luke went home to get back for work and Avery and I headed to San Antonio to visit Aunt Kippa and Avery's cousins, Gage and Grififin. We had a blast; Avery loves playing with her cousins and they adore her.
She just follows them everywhere. It's so cute.

We got to visit Luke's Grandmother. Avery had never been to her house and she had a great time. She loved the kitty too!
